my old 84 had twice as much filler then that. I know cuz i put it on it hahaha. Couldnt afford to fix it right ended up selling it for scrap. If your going to restore the truck i would strip it all off and start fresh see what kind of damage is under it. Also might want to use a stud gun to pull the metal out a bit to you dont have thick spots of filler
