Re: Ford Keys & Torsion Bar Cranking/Replacing **TECH**
New to the forum and chevy trucks. I just bought a 03 silverado 1500 ext cab 4x4. I went under it to check out the whole torsion bar situation bc the suspension seemed to be real soft. (First truck ive had with them) Anyways, I noticed that the end of the torsion bar going into the LCA has ALOT of play in it.(picture a socket on a nut thats too small) Is this normal? It looks as though It could almost strip inside the LCA.

The truck came with the original window sticker (which I cant find anymore)and I remember it said that it had the Heavy Duty suspension upgrade for a few hundred bucks. (but no z85 code) The catch is that its got 56k and the thing rides like a cadillac hence the reason I went under it in the first place.

I dont know if they are all the same size or not but could the guy before me have swapped in the wrong torsion bars in search of a softer ride? The stickers on the bars say RYH and LYH both green in color and there is three leafs in the back with a red marking on them.

WHATS UPPP?!

(My next question is about torsion bar cranking once I get this figured out)
