Well according to this book, Both diesel F & S are 180hp @ 3400 Rpms. The engines are the same, But it indicates F came with a TD/HO or no turbo. Which I find hard to believe on a 1999 model. HO stands for high output. But as far as specs they are same engine, same horsepower, same torque band. S came with a TD (turbo diesel).
