There will be offroad guys standing in line to buy that granny 4sp. Yeah, swap out the manual for a traditional 4sp. Oh, and with a little cash, that 283 will make one screamin' 301. Some good fun to be had there with that set up. Look at rearend options too. Sounds like suspension upgrades are priority.
