Ya, if the original paint job is ok then you can really wetsand with some 600 grit on a block.Knocking the clearcoat down to a dull finish.It's easiest to do the large flat areas this way,use a little Ivory soap as a lubricant and change the paper often.Try to keep going through the clear to a minimum.After that I use a Scotch Brite pad and Finalsand paste(Comet will work as well)and go around making sure you get all the edges and tight areas you couldn't properly get with the sandpaper.When it's all done it should be completely dull NO SHINY SPOTS.If you have problem areas(like peeling)use a sander or a block with some 220 and feather the edges back till the paint stops flaking.Then sand like the rest of the truck.As, for the paint system you can use either a BC\CC or a single stage.That's merely preference.Good luck!
