i thought i started a build thread here on FSC, but apparently i didnt. i stole my progress posts from the thread on GMFS. here they are...

"it" being the transformation of my plain jane 93 C2500. actually started 1-23-07, but this thread was started on a site that i no longer have access to.
a little cosmetic makeover first (thanks to ice and 3 tons of K20 )
i pulled it in the garage, and pulled this out of the bed.
6 bolts and a spring later, i backed this out...
next up, the Silverado grille and clear composite headlights. the swap will entail new bumper brackets and bumper fillers to accomodate the 94+ grille.
SFA is just around the corner...
got my hood and fillers back on Friday from the painter, immediately bolted the hood on. matching paint makes a HUGE difference!
i decided about 1:00 that i was going to swap the grille, headlights, headlight harness, and the bumper brackets and fillers. here's the finished product.

havent updated in a while. things are progressing rather slowly as i've got a lot of other things going on now. i've got all of the 2wd suspension removed, and 3 of 4 springs hung. i bought a parts truck last week, so the truck is going to be a bit beefier than i originally planned.
i bought a 94 K3500 crewcab dually from my sister's ex-boyfriend after he wrecked it, and his insurance company totaled it. it's got a great running 454/80E/Borg Warner 4401 setup in it, along with power windows and locks, and some other assorted goodies. the interior in it is nearly perfect, which will be used to upgrade the interior of my 93 Cheyenne, and replace some of the abused parts in my 92 Silverado.
here's pics of the parts truck...

my girlfriend/garage bunny making a really weird face, i dunno what that's all about.
here's the reason its a parts truck...
the wheelbase is about 3" shorter on the passenger side.

got a little bored today, and have to make some room in the garage for the 454 and associated parts... so i made a little progress...
axle under, and on jackstands, full weight of the truck on springs.
profile from inside the garage. this thing is gonna be HUGE!
