That's good to hear Gregg. I'll probably be using mine pretty often, so I'm not expecting a lot out of it. It'd be nice if it did last a while though.
Anyway, I got the water pump back on. It looks like it was only sealed with rtv, and no gaskets.
I do not remember doing that at all!
Maybe I forgot to put the gaskets in there? Hell, I don't know. I'm surprised it lasted this long.
All scraped and sanded clean and ready for the new gaskets.
New gaskets I made. Remember, kids, real men make their own gaskets!
I forgot to take a pic of the gaskets on the pump with the rtv, but I put a thin layer on both sides fo the gaskets and smeared it around evenly.
Re-installed and (so far) leak free.
Yes, I know my engine is dirty. No sense in keeping it clean when
before long, it'll have an ls..........
