Yes sir. That's what they're designed for.
If you've been using it to do other stuff with (Todd's reference
) than I suggest you buy a new one. They're under $10 and will last FOREVER if you maitain them. NEVER completely dry it out. Wring the excess water out of it and put it back in the container.
