Absorbers, squeegees, chamois, etc. will scratch your pant. Leaf blower + waffle weave works wonders.

I use an Absorber on my truck because it works well, but I don't really care about the paint. I only use 100% cotton wash mitts, towels, polishing cloths on my car though.
