depends on how you're getting your 408ci. if you're talking about a .040" overbored 400, vs a 383, go 408. if you're thinking of stuffing a 4" crank into a stock 350 block, keep dreaming, and build a 383. stuffing a 4" crank into a stock block is VERY sketchy.
