Re: disc brake swap
Just got back from Oreillys and got S10 front calipers, banjo bolts, Ceramic brake pads for the S10 calipers, and Chevette front brake hoses.
Just ordered the weld on soon to be bolt on brackets from Speedway Motors.
After that I ordered Summit Racing drilled and slotted Impala SS rotors. Grand total of 264 and change right now. All I have left to get is some brake line, and a couple brake line flare nut fittings. I'm going to be installing a different master cylinder which I got brand new for free that fits a NBS rear disc setup. It physically is a direct fit except for one of the flare nut fittings on my stock master cylinder is slightly bigger then the other so I just need to get two of the same for the NBS master cylinder and I'm good to go.
On the S10 calipers the pistons measure 2 3/8" diameter. Pretty beefy for a rear setup IMO. The pads are nearly as big as the front pads on my 95 as is.
