I have done many headliners before and I am lost...

I took the headliner out of my 02 Silverado and it isnt like anything I have seen before... It looks like a mixture of foam and long hair fiberglass is what they used to make it and then but the material over that.

Well, normally I would take off the old material, clean off the extra foam that stayted w/ the board, then just glue the new headliner material down...

This is not the case, when I try to take the material off, it pulls apart the top layer of the headliner fiberglass part w/ it...

I dont know what to do?!?!?!

Can i put the new material right over the old material? It is in perfect shape, i'm just doing a vinyl headliner for a more custom look!

If anyone has done anything like this before, hit me back and let me know what to do! I need serious help! Hahaha!

Thanks Guys & Gals!

I just posted pics in this section of my new one. I ruined my board when I pulled the old material off. I had to buy a new board. The guy that did my new one says they have a plastic membrane in between the fiberglass board and the material. And if you rip that off it is almost worthless. I have a buddy that tweeded over his factory cloth and it came out nice, you couldn't even tell. Here is the link to where I bought my new board. http://www.topsonline.com/ Not sure if they have stuff for NBS trucks or not, but it may help you find somewhere that does.

How did you get the coat hooks off of the headliner?
