I had it done by a pro this time. I tried to peel my factory one off by myself and ruined the board. So I found a place in cali. that sells new boards made out of abs plastic, and you can get them bare or covered. So I bought the bare one and had a pro here do it this time. That factory board was a royal PITA!! The visors weren't easy either, he had to pretty much make new ones for me.

Hey gtphelps, what's the name of this company, and do they have a web site. I need a new headliner and if I could get one made out of plastic, that wood be great. I could then sand and paint it.

Here is the link. Shipping is a bit high but the box for a board is HUGE.

It fit perfectly, even came with new velcro strip since it is heavier then the old one. It'll be plenty strong enough for sanding, it's really thick and sturdy. From now on these things are they only way I'm gonna do one in the future, just so much easier. If you screw up you can just sand it down and start over. Or in my case peel it off and start over.

Again thanks for posting this.. I have my interior gutted right now and was wondering what I could do to my roof. I have seen trucks with smooth and pianted roofs before, but I think they just welded in a filler panel.. I have got to get one...Aaahhhh the ideas are already dancing through my head...:D

This will be easier for ya in the long run. My wife is one that found the site for me when I ruined the factory board.

Looks sweet! I just recovered mine, and had the same problem you did. I stripped mine, and it was a mess. Everytime I had to redo it, I took more of the original off.
I still may have to redo it, so I'll definately keep that place in mind.

No shows for me in Ohio this year. I have a ton lined up here in PA. Mostly local shows, but hey my leaky ride is the only truck in town with adjustable suspension.:D

Those are 2000 dakota seats. I got em for free, well I had to install 2 racing seats in the dakota and the kid let me keep the factories. They had been covered since new so they are in great shape and they are really comfortable.

Just some guy with a little shop here in Lebanon. Down near the mall. He wants to do the rest of the truck for me, I have to take it down to show it to him now that I put it back togther. There should be more pics in my gallery. If they were approved yet.
