b-quiet.com

Very good pricing. Helps a ton with cooling the interior and road noise. A guy with a Volvo S40 was sponsored by them and won the 2002 USACi World Champion trophy. I put it in my truck. Spent around 300 for about 200 square feet. I have about 50 square feet left over and the only thing I havent done are the 2 doors and roof. The floor and sides and back all the way up to the roof are done. I did the front part of the truck near the engine bay and all the noisy section to 2 layers just to help even more.

Here is a picture in the middle of the process. I even did the outer door skins and the inner door skins on the extra cab section. I plan on doing the same on the front doors if I dont sell my truck. Thats my brother lookin all happy in the background.

infact you might be good with less than 50 sq ft....

LS6TT

so just get 50sq feet to be on the safe side?

all you do is peel and roll on eh. thats pretty cool, how good is this stuff to road noise?

BogeyBoy82

I am wondering how much weight three layers, all over the truck, this stuff added.

Is it heavy? Might not be optimal for those that are trying to stay light for performance purposes. Seems choice for cruisers and street machines though.

The B-Quiet extreme is also what I have. Its definitely worth the money and I am very happy with it. I am getting ready to do my 94 Jeep Grand Cherokee in it also. I would also suggest just doing it by hand. It is very pliable material so it will stretch into any corners and contours. My extra cab truck floor could have been done with about 30 square feet with the back wall and side panels partially covered with the remaining 20 square feet. I would suggest getting 100 if you have the money just to be safe and you can do double layers in certain high noise areas/vibration areas. I think my truck used proably 130 square feet without the doors and it has double layers on a lot of areas. Anyways good luck with it.

Jeremy

I think the boxes weigh somewhere around 20 lbs. They came in 50 square feet per box so depending on how much you use that is what it would turn out to be.

yeah, but it's pretty pricey.:( if you are considering second skin products, damplifier would be a better alternative.:D

Brown Bread is the next step up from B-quiet extreme and the B-quiet tech people told me that Dynamat Extreme is 10% more effective than Brown Bread.

I have both BB and Fatmat, although Fatmat does seem to work well for damping it does have an asphalt smell on hot days.

Also Great price but it took them over 30 days to ship my order.:(

I will be buying more brown bread next time.:D

well lets see it this way, one roll of the b-quite extreme for 89.99 and its made for the vehicle and it will be plenty, or 75 for 5 rolls which might not be enough to do the whole vehicle..can anybody who has done a xcab, floor, back below the glass, sides by the rear seat tell me how much they used

okay....i'm really gonna sound dumb asking this, so here's a little background to the question. i'm doing the entire system in the yukon, and it's gonna be big.....AND HIDDEN. except for the head unit, all the rest will be out of sight with the way we're doing it. with the factory system (almost every speaker blown, btw) my wife says she can hear me from inside the house.

the question: how well will this all work to keep sound in and from getting out? part of the system is 2 12" compvr's driven by a kicker 850 amp, so i'm sure some sound is going to get out, but i don't want to totally advertise that i have a system.

That's the point of the stuff. Keep your sound in, and keep outside sound out. :read:

(knew somebody would think it was a dumb question) i know that, but how well? are we talking residual noise from the drivetrain type noise, or lotsa bass type noise?

it wasn't dumb, it just wasn't very specific.

It blocks most all noise, but once again, it varies by brand, type, application and what not.

What are you guys doing with the Circulation Vents on the back wall? I am in the process of doing mine, and everything is off the back. Going down the road, I look back and see daylight. So I'm like, even if I do the truck, that's like cracking the window but right abover the muffler~!

Are you guys foaming them, going over them with the sound deadner???

Is 16 sq. ft. enough for two doors. I'm hoping to cut down on vibration caused by the components in the doors.
