Im about fed up with my metal dash idea. I just dont think i will be able to make it look like i want. So I am back looking at transplanting dashes again.
Ignoring the color scheme and minor details what do yall think about this dash?

Its got a glove box, spot for an lcd and cd player and also its pretty symmetrical which I really like.

you ever try to make a dash out of sheetmetal? Its turning into a major PITA. Im still not sure whats going to happen but im heading to the junkyard to see what i can come up with. Its from a town car(but dont tell anyone that I have a ford part on my truck)

I think that the metal will look better. I know what you are saying but in the long run I think that the metal will be more unique. What problems are you having with the metal?

I like the clock in center. That would look great on a truck with a cowl hood to match.

if it fits, good deal, but then again its me and if i was devoting as much time as you are, i would just build that custom dash, just more points when it comes to show

Looks real nice, but does have ford written all over it. Maybe you could glass over the moulding running across the center.

It would look cool!
On a side note, i had a 79 mustang SCCA car I used to play around with, built a custom dash out of metal for it... Major Pain In the Butt but looks killer!

It looks sick, but it is still a ford. If I had the time or the tools I would try to make a dash before I put a ford dash in.

dood, id go with custom. a transplant is still a transplant, custom is custom. for the work, i think custom is better. imho, go with fiberglass and metal, the FG will be easier to get contours and such. and you can build a metal frame with stock mounting points for it easily.
