:cussing: My 98 Cheyenne has a rattling noise that comes from the steering column when I drive over bumps. I took it to the dealership for warranty work, and they said it was caused by a bearing somewhere. Someone else said that its normal, and I shouldnt worry about it. My dad had a 96 Silverado, and it also rattled. Does anyone have any idea as to what causes this? When I shake the steering shaft where it runs from the firewall to the steering box, it makes the exact same noise. My pickup has tilt, but would that really matter?
