replacing Jumpseat w/Center Console

Hi guys, 04 Tahoe- I have jumpseat and want to get a Console in there but I really want to the "WHOLE" console (the one that extends to the dash). I havnt seen one up close but I was able to look through a window of a 04 Yukon and noticed that
there is a slight "LIP" difference in the dash where the center console joins it.

My dash doesnt have this little "LIP" difference so I dont know if I'll be able to get the larger console in there.

Any recomendations ? Has anyone done this conversion ?

I would just build one..that way you have everything in it with the space and look you want

I coudnt build a fire or shelter if my life depended on it.
Everytime I do anything with a screwdriver I end up having screws left over. I'd rather just get the stock console, besides I really like the way it looks.

If you want it to match up properly with no modification you will need to get the glove box part of the lower dash from a Tahoe with the center console.

just slide it up in there. you can remove the part that meets the dash if you need to and just have a center console. i did that on mine after i butchered it with a dremel trying to make it meet up to a 94 dash.

thanks Punisher, I figured the DASH was different than my dash as well. Does anyone have a part number for the lower dash part that meets the console ?

Any of you guys with the extended center console mind looking around under your dash for the number ? I would really appreciate it.

They also made a center consol that stopped and didn't have the peice that met up to the dash. My girlfriend's mom's suburban has one like this. Let me check and see if I can't find that pn for it. What color is your center seat, I might be interested in it if you get rid of it.

thanks DMAXMAN, when you say it "stops" is it like the regular Console ? It ends at the cupholders. OR does it go up to the Dash just doesnt meet up to it and connect fully. I havnt seen one like that, but if it looks good then thats what I'll be wanting.

My jumpseat is Grey Cloth, the top has that Vinyl material...
And is in perfect working condition, non-smoker vehicle, no rips, tears or stains.

Yes it is like a regular console and ends after the cup holders. Like I said.. I'll try to get the part number if I can get it.

no worry's I can get the consoles without a problem, the problem I was wondering about was the dash where the console joins up. Dont worry about the P/n, I can get that if needed without a problem. Im prob going to end up buying one from ebay....

its just the dash that has me concerned.....

I might even go with an escalade center console if they pop up on ebay agian...they were there like a month ago.

I am trying to do the the same thing in my 03 silverado what is the cheapest route? how much is it from the dealer?

I got my Denali console off ebay, and fabricated the front console
extension piece, all for about $400.00

If I were you I would get the console fom ebay, sometimes no one is selling them, but keep checking, I've seen some go for $300.00 or so. I'm not sure on the dealer cost but I know its more than that.

A little late but oh well.....
I changed my Jump seat / Fold down console with the complete console out of an 03' Ava'
You have to change the glove box surround and add a bracket for it to bolt up properly (like stock). Really easy swap...
Oh...had to add a power lead for the DC socket at the rear of the socket for it to be functional.
I have just added my console to Ebay if anyone is interested?
