My drivers side armrest is torn the one thats is connected to the seat. I want to have it redone an need to take it out. I cant figure out how it comes out and before I started on it with a hammer i figure I should ask.

Doesn't it bolt from the inside of the seat? CTKA?

You have to remove the upper seat cover and its held on with c-clips, not an easy task but its doable. If your gonna do this its easier to remove the entire seat if you can.

Ive got the seat cover most of the way off. I cant see any C clamps. It looks like someone has welded on it maybe that was factory? Or maybe someone has already doctored on it before I had it.

I had mine off on my '92 buckets.
If I remember correctly you push them in with them folded down and them rotate them to the up position, I think they have a flat spring thing that holds them into place.
Sorry I don't have the truck anymore to be certain, maybe I can go by and "check-on" the new owner and scope it out.
Can anyone back this up?

Yeah Tunedup, that's pretty much correct. You're talking about the bucket seats right? Put the armrest in the "up" position. Push in (towards the seat) and rotate it backwards. You may have to flip the seat down if it's still installed. It should turn 20-30 degrees, then stop. Then you can pull it off. It takes some wrestling. I had my seats out, so it was easier. Install is tricky (lining up) but not real bad.

The c-clips work on the newer seats (post 95?), I believe JB.
