Any one put them in there 1500???? I have a 1997 I wonder how hard it would be to make them fit.

The seats are out of a 2001 camaro....

Kane

I think I found it. Thanks

Shouldn't be too hard, at worst you'd have to fab some brackets.
I know a guy tha put '95 camaro buckets in a Nissan hardbody with minimal problems.

You could make it work you would just have to try to make an adapter to use your seat frames. The Camaro seats are too low. If you could raise them up I think it would be pretty sweet.

Anybody have pictures of the brackets they used?
I just got a pair of camaro seats to put in my truck, and since I dodn't have factory buckets I have to start front scratch. What I have now are some crappy aftermarket seats that were put in because the truck was origionaly some kind of luxury conversion or something. So I do have 4 threaded bolt holes on each side (I heard factory bench seats only had two on each side? doesn't matter I geuss) with bolts. I want to make it look clean, so I'm going to grind off the factory bolt locations on the new seats and attach straight to the sliders some how. Anyway, if anybody has pics of there setup that would be really cool.
Also, where would I look for square steel tubing? I can get access to a hydraulic pipe bender also, but since I've never used it before, it'd probably be easier to use square stuff.

Here are a few pics of my interior, as of about 4 months ago. PICS (http://www.imagestation.com/album/?id=4287720305)

I've since painted the brackets and gotten half way through building a set of covers for the brackets. Here's a progress pic of the covers. I'm glassing this into one solid piece that will wrap around the front corner as well. Once I get the dash and covers painted, it should look pretty good. Too bad I'm only keeping it another 5 months. :D

There are some pics in the link I posted. If you want something specific, just ask.

You can find the steel at any metal supplier. There is no need for a bender....just a saw and a welder. :head:

Hey 91 im putting some aftermarket seats in with sliders n stuff and since you said we could i ask i will. Whats up with the hangover angled peices with holes in them, why didn't you grind those smooth? Also ive seen people use angle iron and you used square tubing...does it make a difference in strength or anything of that nature?

Also are the seatbelts from a 60/40 bench seat bolted to the floor? and does it look halfway stupid using regular seatbelts with bucket seats in a truck since these aren't the captains seats?

Thanks,
Dave

I have cut off the camaro mounts, and painted the brackets since those pics were taken.

I used square tubing because I had it, and it was easy. After I gussetted the corners, and added a brace in the front, it made it much stronger. I think the square tubing looks cleaner, as well.

The seat belts were from my original bench seat. It wasn't even a 60/40. What looks bad to me is the covers for the seat belts. I installed the camaro seats at the same height of my old bench, so the buckles are at the correct height for these seats. It's impossible to see the buckles anyway. The console hides them well. The console was built by a fellow FSC member, Sky aka "wkdspd" of Wicked Speed Motorsports in case anyone was wondering. :D

Those are cool, got any more recent pics of the frames? I think I've got an idea what I need to do now :D. Oh the reason I mentioned the bender is because I can get all the round pipe I want in just about any size, the only problem is it's the galvanized stuff used in fences. But it's free. I want to go with the square tubing though.

Why Camaro seats? They are extremely uncomfortable. If you had them sitting around that would be a good idea, but I hope you did pay too much for them.

If my buddy put Hyundai Tiburon seats in his S-10, then I believe anything is possible.
