I know most people prefer to run BFG MT's or Trxus MT's to the MTR's, but personally I think the MTR's are a more attractive tire. I've done as much research on them as i can online as far as tread wear and mud performance goes, but I just wanted to see what any of you who run these have to say about them, preferrably those who have run either of the other two tires I mentioned in the past. I'm planning on running 305/70/16 on stock Z71 rims (disregard my sig, i got a '97 Z71 about a week ago and just haven't updated my sig yet) and the best price I have found so far is $192 per tire at tirerack.com. Also, if any of you are running this tire on stock rims and have pics, they would be much appreciated!

I run that size but on Eagle Alloy 058's in a 16x8. I know a guy that i hunt with that has a maroon 97 Z71 with them on it and not lift just some tbar cranking and it looks great. I mean really great. As for how they perform: I will never buy another tire unless it is a Swamper or a Mickey. Mine have gotten me out of more junk than i can possibly say. I ahve never been stuck in them and have never had a flat with them. I Have driven bar ditches with them no problem. I just think that the are an all around graet tire. They look better because of their sidewalls. I would recommend them to anyone running a 33 or 35.

Thaks for the reply JT, the main reason i want to go with the 305/70 is so when i do a suspension lift, i will just be able to buy new rims (16x10) and not have to buy new tires. I am really leaning towards these tires, the only thing is how much they cost. If i keep them after the suspension lift though I do not mind paying as much for them. Does anyone have pics of such a setup?

I would get them anyways because that price is extremely good for that size tire. I have seen them as much as 280 and my tire guy can usually get d$mn good deals and he can not get them for less than $200.

Yeah i got quotes around town and they were as much as 295 each. I recently got a quote from Sams Club for like 205 each mounted, which would come out cheaper than Tire Rack.

I work at Goodyear and they are still around $200 something. Maybe a set can go missing, but then i cant drive my truck to work. :badidea:
