*Sings for any Pink Floyd fans* no matter how he tried he could not break (it) free... and the worms ate into his brain.

Man, what was General Motors thinking when they decided how to install this panel, it's ridiculous. I fought with it for like 45 minutes and was afraid I was going to break someting so I quit. You can't find directions in the owners manual or in the repair manual!!

I got the top little triangle off, then took out the two screws it has holding it. Then took off the window crank. Then fought it up and removed every little J-clip holding it on that I could find. But there was still something in the middle holding it on that I could not get off!!!

All I want is my DB650's in :banghead:

if i remember correctly there is the triangle that you took off, there is a screw, 7mm, at the bottom of the panel, its underneath. there is another screw in the door panel, i think its behind the door handle. there is several clips that you will have to pull out, then lift up. you will have to disconnect the controls, aka the power window etc., and then the door light at the bottom. if you need more, email me i have the info from crutchfield around somewhere.

did you get the screw right under the arm rest?

also...i think there is a screw behind the sliding lock. you have to pop that out with a screwdriver to get the screw behind it.

I screw under the armrest, I behind the panel the door lock switches are on. Pull the trim piece around the door handle, pull the sliding lock. Pull up on the panel slightly. Then disconnect the light at the bottom.

Also I think there is another one right underneath where the speaker grille is. I think there should be a total of 3 screws 1 behind the door lock slide, 1 behind where the arm rest is, and the one I just got done saying about.

Feel underneath the bottom of the plastic door panel and you should feel a screw towards the door hinges. If I am not make any sense I could take a pic to help you out.

You count correctly. :D
:word:

There is a third screw at the bottom of the door panel, but it just holds in the pocket...

the NBS panels are about the easiest door panels to remove IMO. Takes all of about 30 sec. to pull it off - once you've done one time :D

With all the stuff removed that was mentioned, should come right off - you are pulling up on the panel right??? Its not like the old door panels that were held on with pushpins. while working the door panel straight up, also gently bring the panel towards you (away from the door) so that the panel will clear the door (so it dosent get cought on something while pulling it up).

Bummer ... hope this helps ...

1. Remove the triangle directly behind the RH?/LH? mirrior - two snap clips - just pull out easy - then pull up
2. 7mm screw/bolt - behind door "pull" - this one is visible in center of door panel
3. Remove plastic cover around door "handle"
4. Remove cover where power switches are located - if you look at the very bottom edge of the cover there are two small knotches, that is where the sping clips are - can just pull up with hands or insert a very small screwdriver and put pressure of the spring clip - remove cover - remove plug-ins
5. Remove the 7mm screw/bolt behind cover - thats all the screws
5. Remove sliding door lock cover - pry with fingers on front edge
5. grab door panel and lift straight up toward top of door
6. unhook - light and speakers
7. On your way - Good Luck!

I have removed mine probably 5 times in the last month - trying to get an interior paint color that I liked. Any more questions PM me.

I don't have electric doors, they're manual. I have it all off right now except the @*#$*(ing manual door lock is holding it on. I can't get anything behind it because it hold too much of the plastic too the door. How in the world do you get this part off. This is the most frustrating thing in the world because it should be so easy, theres nothing to it but it just still won't come!

Hallelujia I got it off! Do I need that piece of plastic that is taped onto it between the door in interior door panel?

Yes ... you need that plastic ... unless you want even more of a "tin" sound when you shut your door ... and more cold air in the winter ... that "plastic" is some engineers  way of keeping your truck quiet and warm. That "plastic" can be replaced with a good sound barrier found at any audio shop. If it's coming off ... just tape it around the edge, it will stay. Good luck!
