The shoulder part of the seat belt squeeks realy bad and its highly anoying. Like every time i move just a little bit it will make the anoying squeeking sound. I tried to take it out and see whats causing it to make that sound. But i cant figure out how to get the thing out... Does anyone know how to do without breaking it?

If you dont get what im saying, its the part that lets the seatbelt come from the seat on the left shoulder. Thats whats making noise and cant figure out how to take the cover off and figure it out.

Thanks!

I'm digging up this old post because now I have the same problem. Anybody figure this out in the last year?

I'm not exactly sure that I understand your problem ~ But here’s my possible solution:

If the ‘squeaking sound’ is coming from the shoulder belt hanger (the very top part of the seat belt that is mounted on the B-pillar - about where your ear is when seated). Then I would simply pull off the plastic hanger cover, (e.g. Pull the plastic cover straight away from the base - OR towards the opposite side of the truck); Unscrew the mounting bolt; Clean it; Lubricate it with a SMALL amount of grease; Then re-install the mounting bolt.

The belt hanger is meant to slightly swing in accordance with the drivers position. I’m thinking that it may be dry for some reason.

I've never had this problem in my 91’. However, it's originally a CA truck now in AZ: which = minimal humidity and no corrosion… I hope this helps you out, please post your results – Okay?

Well since 04s don't have the belt mounted on the b-pillar, that's not gonna be it.

The NBS trucks do have a roller a the top of the seat that the belts runs on. That is probably what is squeeking. If you take the little plastic cover off you should be able to see it and lube it.

I have no idea what year seat or belt configuration OzzHead is referring to, it's not stated anywhere in his question. I was assuming that it was an OBS... :sorry:
