How do you replace the turn signal switch in the steering column? I have a buddy that needs to replace his on a '98 GMC. He has no turn signals, or brake lights.

Remove the two shrouds around the column Unplug the various harnesses for the "multifunction switch" as they call it. remove the screws holding it to the column plug in and test the new one replace the whole assembly replace the shrouds drive on you may have to pull the steering wheel to get to all the screws. I will pass on the info. vBulletin® v3.8.2, Copyright ©2000-2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
