I have a 99 half ton Silverado, and I was wanting to add a transmission temp gauge to my stock cluster. I saw US Speedo carries this trans temp thing you can solder to your gauges and it will add a trans temp to your gauges. I was wondering if anyone had tried this. http://www.usspeedo.com/trans.html I was wondering how much work it is, if it works well, and if i would need to do anything esle to make i work properly. Thanks for all the info!

i want to do the same thing,it seems like the best bet is go with a caddy cluster.just calibrate it to your mileage and plug it in.click on gmcjoe sig for a good link/good prices
i work at a chevy stealership and just doesn't seem appeling to sauder on the cluster.

on the 99's you cant swap in another cluster. It will cause the Airbag light to stay on. Your only option from what ive been told is to swap in the gauge from US Speedo or run an outside gauge that will attach to the A-Piller or on the dash somewhere. Me personally.. just get the kit from US Speedo
