I checked at the dealership for the heck of it and they wanted 300 for new windows and seals. I went and got a big tube of silicone and took the windows off and put a big bead on top of the seals. Put it back and it seems to be holding except the passengers side where my brother tried to open it even though it wouldn't budge. :twak:

Did it stop all the wind noise?

There might be just a little but thats because of my idiot brother but yea it did stop all the wind noise before he screwed up the silicone job.

454ss, thanks for posting that link, thats exactly what I've been looking for.

It may help to have two people when you do this, one to hold the window and then you to put the silicone on the seal. I just took out the two front scews and left the locking mechanism together and I put a bead of silicone on the seal while my dad held the window for me.

If the seal is in good shape other than just a little shrinkage, go to a parts store and pick up some stuff called sil glyde. It comes in a tube. Spread it on the rubber and it softens it back up and causes it to swell slightly. This might seal the gap. I have used it on convertible tops before to eliminate wind noise. Unless you know you'll never use your rear windows then I wouldn't silicon them shut. Another trick is to remove the seal and put some stuff behind the seal to force the seal out against the window where the leak is. They sell some stuff that you can tear off a roll and form it like play do. Roll some of this into a small rope and stick it behind the seal. It's a common thing to do in the world of dealerships
