Have any of you used this on your truck's windows to prevent theives from breaking into your trucks? I was thinking that I could use a layer of this followed by a layer of 15% tint.

I think any tint does that... All they are saying is that the window holds together instead of shattering, so all the theif would have to do is smash in the window, and push it through as a sheet. Check out the pics from when boogeyboy's truck got broken into, his whole window came out as a sheet (it was shattered but held together by his tint).

Oh, so this kind of tint won't prevent theives from breaking into a truck then? I didn't know that the glass could just be pushed out when it was broken.

That's what my tint guy uses. But like others have said....any tint holds the glass together pretty good. If they added something else to it.....it's gotta be strong.

There is film like that used for huricane protection. You have to keep in mind that in a comercial application the glass is captured on 4 sides. then the film holds it in place. The window glass on an automobile is only captured on one side. After you break the glass you will be able to push it out of the way. IMHO it is not worth it.
