Thinking about these in a 36x14, or BFG Muds in 35x12.5, or Goodyear Wrangler MTs in 35x12.5. How do the PJs stack up agains these other two tires? Are they noisy, do they have good on road capabilities, offroad capabilities? Tread life and wear. Any information would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

I saw your post last night, was gonna reply then thought, "dammit man use the search, its been covered bfore" I know I've answered the same inquiry a few different times.
But wouldnt you know..... I cant find the threads oh well so much for that...
Anywho heres my take on them.
They are a true sized tire - thats important to me. If I'm paying for a 36" tire it'd better be 36" tall. Very good road manners, for a tire with this much tread void they are rather quiet. The stiff sidewalls (due to thier high load rating) resist tire rollover in the corners making the truck feel a bit more sure-footed. Very good wet weather traction, the tread blocks are siped, however the siped portion will wear away within 6-10k miles. I've run them in the snow and they bit very well in the snow too - as well as can be expected, after all they aint snow tires.
I'm satisfied so far with the tread life, I've only got about 12k on them and wear appears even throughout. Remember tho, with big meats you gotta keep up on rotation, once they start cupping or feathering, life goes downhill fast.
Cant give you any first hand offroad opinions, because well, I've never been there :D But my buddy has the same tires on his lifted tahoe and he wheels often. He reports that they are excellent in the mud - they dig like a sumbish and with some wheelspin they clean right out, scooping more gobs of earth. He's had swampers on previous trucks and prefers the PJ's overall performance.
Yeah they are more expensive than others, I went with them becasue no body else had them out here (i gotta be unique :D) but I hear in other areas they are very popular.
