OBS or NBS console

I'm looking to put a console in my 96 and was wondering it a NBS console would fit or am I stuck with finding an obs console.

If you want to extend it with the underdash piece like on the 99-02s, then no, it won't fit. (The 03 and 04s are all one piece, and they definitely won't fit). The actual console part would, but it won't go up into the dash. Some have had decent luck using a 97-98 expedition console, it fits pretty closely. Do a search, big topic on that lately.

I'm just wanting a console like they came with was just wondering if one outta a NBS would work instead. I'm not trying to make it fit up to the dash. I'm wanting to take out the jump seat I have now.
