I say screw the Factory Leather, it is mostly Vinyl anyway. I do not like mine, (I mean it's ok, but not great) I am hoping to upgrade to Katzkin Leather seats. It is preforated, so it will breathe, and is about 3 times thicker than the factory. That is definitely how I would go if I were you.:D :D

like he said if ya want leather go that route, don't go factory. i've got leather in my 97 and it is horrible, the lower back and wher ei rest my right knee on the seat, is all crinkled and cracked and turned black. it is defintely not the best quality and it's overpriced, i say go with the cloth, then get aftermarket seats and get some of the money back selling the factory seats

I am a detailer and I see a lot of leather seats. The new leather is much better than the leather on the old bodies. I am going to say that you could probably get better quality leather than in the new ones for about the same as the factory price. You just have to go and do it yourself.

I just realized you were from TX, I would definitely go w/ some type of perforated seats, your a$$ will sweat (mine does in Humid PA summers) when your in the saddle for a while. Go HERE (http://www.katzkin.com) and you can find a dealer by entering your 5 digit zip. Hope this helps:D
Matty a.k.a. 454SS has the Katzkin in his '90. It is awsome, looks great, fits great and is worth every penny!:D  :D

The only thing is that you can't get the heated and memory on an LS factory cloth seats. Jason @ JPCustoms was working on kits to add these options last I heard.

No, that is why I told you about the "find a dealer" feature so you could find a local dealer, and then contact them about a price,:D

Another option is Classic Soft Trim... http://www.classicsofttrim.com , I believe that's who did the seats in that particular picture above with the Z71 Emblem and all.
