What is needed? I know i need a hub, but how do i get the air bag out with out blowing up in my face. Let me know.

Isn't that illegal to disconnect and remove the airbag?

:bull: :cussing: really?? Oops! I removed mine to install the SWAC's from JPCustoms.com. You might PM Jason and see if he'll send you part of his instructions.

Its really pretty simple. Just pull the airbag fuse and unplug the yellow airbag connectors under the dash next to the emergency brake and under the drivers seat. Also unplug the battery just to be safe.


I have also installed a custom wood/leather wheel on my buddy's 97 FS GMC.. No probs. :naughty:

I am not talking about removing it and replacing it back being illegal. I am talking about removing it for good and replacing the steering wheel with an aftermarket that doesn't accept or have an airbag being illegal.

i'm pretty sure it is but then i see all these trucks in the mags with custom steering wheels and i wonder if they're actually street legal?
