JB 04-17-2002, 03:35 PM Isn't that illegal to disconnect and remove the airbag? rollinstyle 04-17-2002, 03:44 PM That's what I thought, maybe you could have the dealer do it. chane 04-17-2002, 04:11 PM :bull: :cussing: really?? Oops! I removed mine to install the SWAC's from JPCustoms.com. You might PM Jason and see if he'll send you part of his instructions. Here is all I could find on the web.. http://www.grantproducts.com/install/975470001.html Its really pretty simple. Just pull the airbag fuse and unplug the yellow airbag connectors under the dash next to the emergency brake and under the drivers seat. Also unplug the battery just to be safe. I have also installed a custom wood/leather wheel on my buddy's 97 FS GMC.. No probs. :naughty: PtownZ71 04-17-2002, 04:25 PM Originally posted by Y2KZ71 Isn't that illegal Who cares! :head: :D JB 04-17-2002, 04:39 PM Originally posted by rollinstyle That's what I thought, maybe you could have the dealer do it. I am not talking about removing it and replacing it back being illegal. I am talking about removing it for good and replacing the steering wheel with an aftermarket that doesn't accept or have an airbag being illegal. BC Rod and Custom 04-17-2002, 11:45 PM i'm pretty sure it is but then i see all these trucks in the mags with custom steering wheels and i wonder if they're actually street legal? vBulletin® v3.8.2, Copyright ©2000-2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
