Cup holder question

Question:
the 99 model of the silverado has a flip-out cup holder under the A/C controls. My 01 model has a blanking panel there. Can i take that cup holder out of the 99 and put it in a 01? if so, where can i get one of those units? i want to take the center seat out but i also like having a place to put my beer...EEEEERRRRRRRR...soda pop when i'm driving.

Yeah you can do it. The holes for each setup are exactly the same. I have put a fold down cup holder from a 2000 in mine while I was waiting for a replacement blanker panel for the lower dash. The holes match up exactly.

Reason is I had a radio mounted on that panel for awhile and when I took it out the panel went to my bro's truck so I bought a new one. The panel is $15 from the dealer and the neutral color cupholder is $35 from the dealer, probably alot cheaper from GMPD. It is a very easy mod too.
