Hum! wonder what that could be:think:
Tuff stuff and a soft brush should get it out, if not you need one of those mini carpet cleaner like the little green machine.

Once you scrub it and let it sit, use a spray bottle with water and mist the area down.
take your wet/dry vac to it and suck up the dirt :D

Try simple green, that would work as well.

The Little Green machine will work the best. That stain is sweet & dirt matted into the fabric. Cleaners won't really work unless you do it alot of times over.

There's one on a gold chain attached to your "rascal"

SG should do the trick, Alex.

ive always had good luck with tuff stuff with the brush with it ;)
also used a steam cleaner to suck that stuff out afterwards to soften it up...

If you are going to use something like simple green or greased lightning, or any grease cutter make sure you dilute it first. 50/50 is a good ratio to start with. Then you can work your way up slowly. I have never used simple green on upholstery, but 100% strength greased lightning will do some damage.

Just be sure to use HOT WATER with any off the shelf carper cleaner, let the cleaner soak in for a few mins, scrub with brush, then apply hot water and do it again, should remove it as if were never there ....
