OK, i have just installed my escalade guages and catch-all floor mats. really love the guages at night!! but, my question is when i put on brakes (slowing down pretty fast) something starts popping. it sounds like it is in the seat or in the bottom of the door panel. it has done it on the pass. side for a long time (gradually getting more noticable) and now does it on the drivers side. it only does it when i hit the brakes and i have no idea what it is. anybody else's truck do this or know how to fix it?? please help me before it drives me crazy!! later

If it's the popping or clicking im thinking about, It's the seat track wearing out. it is common on mid to late90's fullsize trucks. Unfortunately I hear it is pretty expensive to replace the seat tracks.. I'm not sure exactly where on the track it pops yet, I havent looked yet..

I have it on my '99 drivers side. The dealer had to order them and they are scheduled to go in on Monday. They had the P/N on the receipt they gave me when I took it in. I looked it up on GMpartsdirect, and I think it was around $600.00 :bull: Glad it's covered under warranty. They replaced something else in the seat about a year and a half ago that was around $300.00.
