View Full Version : Any tips for removing OBS headliner? snowdog 05-21-2005, 10:17 AM Whats the best way to get it out with out braking anything? Its a standard cab. 92silverado-ss 05-21-2005, 12:13 PM Take off the grills for the speakers in the front. Carefully pull off the A-pillar covers. They just snap into place. I'd start at the top pulling straight down until it comes loose. It takes some manuevering to get them out. The front edge of the pillar covers are stuck under the speaker grills, so it helps if they are already out. I'd suggest taking out the rear view if you can, just to make things easier. Remove the visors (three Phillips screws) Then you basically just have to unattach the velcro-type holders in the front of the headliner. There are two strips about six inches long. You just have to pull on the headliner and it will come loose. I don't think you have to unattach anything in the rear, but I've slept since I removed mine. I think you can pull it down and then slide it forward a little to clear the rear trim panel. Hope this helps. If you have questions, ask and I might remember more, but that's all I've got off the top of my head.
