Any thing tricky about putting these in? Or is it drill some holes and bolt 'em up? I bought some NBS Seats with center jump seat/console and they wouldnt work in my regular cab so Im selling them to my boss' son. Hes a idiot and I want to know if theres anything more than just drilling holes to do cause if he runs into problems he probably wont buy them and if its out of his realm of capabilities I dont even want to bother getting them dug out of my parts room.

nothing tricky at all about putting 95-00 seats in a 88-94....just drilling 4 holes for the seats and the others for the console.

Ya, but Im not talking about 95+ seats, Im talking about NBS (New Body Style) seats, ie the '99+ Silverados & Sierras.

I think that is what "KADILLACKID" is saying..that you just have to drill your holes and bolt them up... I haven't done it yet, but I am looking to put some newer seats in my 94 reg cab, and going by what some other guys have said, it can be done....
Look through some other posts("i need seats" post i think)...they discussed that a few days ago....
Hope that helps...
What did you do about the seat belts in the NBS seats Antibling?

I left them on. When I was planning on putting them in my reg cab I had to replace a lot of the interior pieces and paint them, so I planned on fiberglassing the holes shut for the seat belts.

NBS Seats suck. Just wanted to juimp in and say that, before going through and spending tons of time installing them, I'd somehow manage to ride in some for a few hours. My dad's seats in his 2003 NBS Suburban seemed at first like they'd be much nicer, but after many long trips I've realized how much I value the OBS seats. After about 30-45minutes they hurt your back however you sit, and this is the opinion of everyone I've talked to so far riding with us.

I agree the 95-00 Seats are much nicer than the NBS seats.
The floorpans are different. You can't just bolt them in, you would have to make spacers for the seats since the center has to sit at the same level.

I disagree, My 04 silverado seats are wonderful....I have had lower back problems before, and I will sometimes get some pain again if I ride in something with little or no lumbar support....But in my truck, I crank up the lower lumbar as far as it'll go, and I can drive for days!!!!!! My girlfriend thinks that they are too hard, but that is the best way to ride for your back...

I like OBS seats alot better than NBS... Feels like I'm on a big ass lazy boy. NBS are stiff and feel like your sitting in a dodge or ford.

the nbs seats wont go into an obs without a lot of :hack: i tried to do it to my truck and the passenger seat wasnt lined up right because of the center hump in the cab.

If you're talking about drilling holes in the floorpan and bolting the seats in, that's not the way seats are "properly" installed. You're supposed to add reinforcement to the floorpan, if you drill outside of the reinforcement already there. Underneath you're not supposed to use regular washers. The correct way is to use plates that are bent up on all 4 corners. This helps prevent the bolts from pulling through the floor in a crash.
Not that a lot of guys don't get away with just bolting them in.

I built new brackets for the C5 seats that I installed. I just bolt the brackets to the stock holes and then bolted the seats to the installed brackets.
