View Full Version : i refuse to give up on changing my interior color............
i have a 92 w/ red interior.......what if i gathered the gray plastic parts from a wrecked truck....like the **** behind the seat and the pillars...the glove box and the stereo piece....then maybe i could get the actual dash covered in gray tweed....does that sound like a feasible idea?..........
thanks in advance

Well if nothing else, you ar eon the right path---> getting rid of the red.
Like CKTA said you can always paint what ever you an't get new peices for, if you watch horsepower TV, i think they did a show a few weeks back, about redoing an interior. hope this might help ya some, i cna't remember wha ttype of paint they used

well if you were in jersey, you could do it for free, jsut find a truck with the enterior you want and break in and take it. or you cna use CKTA's approach and follow the guy to a restaurant or somnething*COUGH*HOTEL*COUGH* and while distracting the guy he has the midget break in and steal the interior, man he's got it all planeed out:D

you could go my route and find all the stuff from a junk yard, grey is easy to find, i was looking for gasp RED! hard as hell to find in junkyard. i would say just paint the stuff it sounds like the cheapest route. i got all the interior pieces minus dash for like $50 if it matters.

Just go to the dealership and order all the trim pieces. They are brand new factory pieces and you can be out for around 100 bucks total...even cheaper if you contact 1bads parts guy.
As for the dash...get some SEM Color coat and paint it because it won't see much wear and tear and you won't be painting it every couple months or so.
well my dash is cracked pretty bad in about 3 parts...good suggestions guys keep them coming...........

ewwwwww...That sucks!
Mine was beginning to crack pretty good too when I replaced it. That's one of the reasons I went ahead and got another dash from a salvage yard and smoothed and painted it.
