Long and short of it...bought an '87 K2500 longbed with 70k to fix up on the cheap, put $3K in lift kit, all new sheetmetal, interior parts, freshened up the motor. All but the rolling stock, cab, hood, lift kit and motor burned up when the shop caught fire.

-Frame/Axles have been wire brushed/POR 15 applied.
-BRAND NEW INSTALLED 6" BDS lift kit with raised steering arm.
-Factory TBI 350 w/fresh head job/new bearings/gaskets throughout/new timing gears/chain.
-New Aftermarket hood
-Factory grille/radiator support

I'd like to see $1500, but open to offers. Will deliver within 100 miles of 18445.

Also...truck has a clean title/vin plate is in the vehicle. Cab corners/floors have been replaced. Truck is currently H2 Yellow w/rhinolined floors. Paint it bubbled from heat in a couple spots. Pics upon request.

Edit: Also has All glass but wing windows, Wiring harnesses complete. It IS a k2500 w/ 4 spd manual. Pretty mush trying to sell the lift kit and motor. You get the cab/Frame/axles/trans/transfer case.

My fiance has the pics on her digital cam. As soon as I get them uploaded, I'll send them to both of you.

The motor was good to begin with, but I took it out to freshen it up a bit. I believe everything that was done included.

Heads planed, checked, new gaskets throughout, new bearings on the bottom half, I believe it got a new water pump, timing chain, timing gears, and a coat of paint. Everything else seemed fine. I don't have any pics of the motor. It's just a 87 TBI long block, but it's at a buddy's shop until I figure out where this is all going.

This would be a great roller for a C/K body swap! The body shop I work at just did a 95 Cheyenne RCLB 2wd body swap onto a 86 long bed frame from a truck I actually used to own (small world). We fabbed the cab mounts from 3/16 plate and moved the factory 2wd core support mounts to the new frame. The bed mounts were fabbed from 2x3 heavy wall box tubing. The wheel bases matched well with very little adjustment to bed gap. We added a silverado grille conversion and shaved the emblems resulting in a great looking roller with $2300 in both trucks total parts investment. I've seen the truck pass me once on the road since and it's running about 38" tall tire on 18" wheels and really looks great. This is only with a simple 6" suspension lift you can buy for around $400 andywhere (luckily for the new owner I had installed a 6" superlift softride lift on the chassis about 2 month and 300 miles before selling the roller. That's about the cost of a decent straight axle conversion for a c/k and you will be able to pick up any of the suspension parts from your local retailer and core axles are a dime a dozen.

Good luck selling it, I hope this might have spurred a few ideas for anyone looking to rid themselves of an IFS and help you recoup some of your lost.

Like I said, no pics of the motor, just a TBI long block.
