what I have is a project that needs to be sold to so I can have money to buy a GMC Typhoon that I'm wanting. I have a single cab, short bed 89 chevy 1/2 ton(originally a 5.7 truck) with a clean title. The truck has a phantom grill, updated front end, smooth front bumper, 2" cowl hood, sport mirrors, steel roll pan, eaton posi w/3.73's and 15" Crager SS wheels. Inside it has brand new black carpet, grant steering wheel, and all plastic/vinyl has been covered in black tweed and a B&M ratchet shifter. The previous owner had monitors in the sunvisors and poppers on the driver side door (he was in the process of shaving the handles we he sold the truck to me). No body work has been done to shave them yet. So the truck comes with 2 monitors and poppers w/remotes. I have an almost complete set of 2 5/8" Auto Meter Phantom Gauges (temp., volts, oil press, trans. temp.). The only thing missing is a fuel level gauge. I also have a 5" phantom tach w/ shift light and 5" electric speedo (speedo should be here in the next day or so). All gauges are electric, and new in the box. What I'm putting down into this is a 383 (2 bolt, 1 piece rear main, new freeze plugs, cam bearings, has been decked, clearenced and bored .020 by Mike Smith's Machine here in Ft. worth). The bottom end consists of a SCAT forged stroker crank, ARP studded mains, SCAT forged 5.7" rods w/ARP bolts, Speedpro Hyper. 10cc dished pistons (9.6:1 w/the heads I have). Heads are new vortecs, 3 angle valve job, and have been ported and flow as well as AFR 195's (260 IN./190 EX. @.500"). Flow numbers were done before the 3 angle valve job. Porting and flow testing was done by Lloyd Elliot. They now have screw in Manley rocker studs, and the spring perches/seats (what erver you want to call them) were machined to accept larger springs. I have a new Comp 276hr (224/230 112 sep.) cam, hardened Comp push rods, GMPP (Crane) aluminum 1.6 roller rockers and new comp springs to accomodate the .530/.540 lift. The oil pump is a melling hi- volume pump and have a pick up with the screen already welded on. Water pump is an aluminum GMPP pump, the timing chain is a Cloyes double roller. On top of all this I have a SDPC vortec base plate that has been ported to match the heads and a Lingenfelter Superram Intake with a 52mm Throttlebody, and adjustable fuel pressure regulator. The ignition set up is a MSD Pro Billet Distributor, MSD 6AL box, and I have plug wires but can't really remember which ones I bought (it's been a while). Everythings is controlled by a FAST Engine Management Unit. All motor, ignition, and electronic pieces and brand new and still in the box. Exhaust set up is a set of Hedman long tube headers rut into 2 40 series flowmaster's that dump at the rear axle (true duals w/cut outs after the headers). I also have a built 700r4 with a TCI (3200) stall convertor that I may consider letting go as well. What all still neds to be done: the motor is NOT assembled, all I lack is gaskets, bearings and a few fasteners but it has been balanced, the truck in in the process of being sanded and primed, chassis harness needs to be installed (already have a new one bought and can help with install if need be)and the truck also needs seats. I bought it with no motor, trans, seats. I do have all the A/C stuff, accessory brackets, radiator, and transmission cooler. I've spent well over $10,000 in the past 3 years getting whats mentioned put together. I will not piece any of the motor or electronics out. I will let the truck go by its self though for $2,000 or $7500 for everything, I'm open to any and all offers though. you can see pics of the motor and a couple other pics HERE (http://www.fullsizechevy.com/forums/showthread.php?t=153964 ) I will get more pics of the outside of the truck and anything mentioned in this thread if need be. I know I'm probably forgetting something else I have for this truck but I guess the list is long enough already.
