I am in process of swapping a 60/40 seat from a 99 crew cab into my standard cab bench seat. I was under the impression that these seats were a direct bolt in (after the additional holes are drilled). NOT!! Well I guess if you have one leg longer than the other. The drivers seat sits about 3 inches higher at the middle than the outside. The passenger seat doesn't look too bad but still has a slight drop towards the door..
So what am I missing here. Are the brackets different on the crewcab then the extended or regular??? Has anyone else run into this problem??? What are the options? the Egg crate is a little wobbly....

Find a way to build it up. :dunno: Maybe some metal under the bracket. :dunno:
Where are you in MI?

I'm in Kingsley Just south of Traverse City. I am going to pull the carpet this week and see if it is just the insulation that is throughing the height off. Unless someone knows differently.

just to tie up the thread, here is the deal. I final got my seat installed. What I found was the inner mount on the drivers side is about 2 inches taller on the rear and 1 1/2 on the front. (the difference in mounts on a crew cab and a regular cab.) So what I did is took all 4 mounts off and attached the outer ones to the floor pan layed a straight edge across them and measured the distance to the floor pan where the inner mounts needed to be located. did this at the front and back of the mount. I cut the "feet" off so they could be overlaped and welded back together with out sacrificing and strength. and wala I am no sit on my seat not in it. very cool.
