My dad bought this truck brand new in January of 2001 from Tuscaloosa Chevrolet in Alabama. He is in his mid 50s and this truck is what everyone wants when buying a used one. Straight up, I would buy this truck if I sold my Mustang outright in time, but I am going to settle with trading it it looks like for a 2wd FSC. It has always had the oil changed every 3k, it has 95% hwy miles and its been responsibly driven its entire life. In fact the reason I ever got into FSC is because of this truck, if it wasn't as reliable as it is I'd of never bought my '04.
Anyways:
2000 Reg. Cab Z71
5.3L / 4L60E / push button 4wd
Dark blue / tan cloth
CD/power windows/locks
116k miles, almost 100% hwy miles from Tuscaloosa to Birmingham everyday.
285/75 BFG KOs
4.10s (factory)
tow pkg.
Truck has a few scratches and rock chips on the hood from all the hwy driving, but it still looks great for a 2000 and mechanically it couldn't be better. It doesn't smoke, drip oil, or have any issues at all. This has been very well taken care of. It has been in 4wd a handfull of times, its only been in 4wd during deer season and its NEVER been in mud over 3"-4" deep, seriously. He really doesn't need a 4x4 at all.
I'll get pics this weekend, but I did get a shot of the truck when taking pics of my Mustang when I stopped by my folks house:
