Charging to paint interior

Well some guy i know wants me to paint his interior cuz his is really scratched up and some of the paint is very faded. Anyways since i dont have an electric sander i do all of the sanding by hand unless the guy has an electric sander that i can use. Anyways im just gonna charge the guy labor. So for uninstalling, sanding by hand *more than likely* spraying it down, clear coating it, and re installing, about how much should i charge? I dont wanna go too low and i dont wanna go too high. This isn't a reall pro job i mean its just better than what he has. I know one guy on here said he paid a paintshop like 1800 to do his but come on lol im no pro paint shop. Im thinkin like 150 or 200 for labor. Any ideas? Thanx. Again this is for a NBS chevy, 2000 style

how much of his stuff does he want painted. all the lower dash? all the upper dash? just some accents? and all that i have to say is that plastic is a bitch to sand by hand

Take whatever you earn from this job and buy a sander...they are cheap.

There's a lot of factors when talking about price, but if you're talking doing everything down to every last detail you might want to reconsider the price. And if you're switching the color to something completly diffrent it's going to take more time and labor, i learned the hard way. Everything is pretty much going to be hand sanded, and there's a lot of work involved, seems simple but not really, my tahoe was a pita to do. It's a good time to add extra insulation and sound dampening while you're at it to get some extra profit if you want.

honestly set a hourly rate, if hes a friend do it at say 15-25 a hour plus materials

Take the money you get from the job upfront and buy a friggen electric sander hahaha....
