im selling my bed. it fits 88-98 trucks. mods done to it are welded roll pan, welded stake pockets, gas door shaved. it also will come with the shaven tailgate. bed has a hole cut in the center for hte pumpkin. im wanting $300 plus trade of your stock bed in good condition. the only reason im doing this is becasue im going cali skin out back and it would be alot of work to tear out the old pan, so i might as well start off new.

pics can be found here http://www.fullsizechevy.com/forums/showthread.php?t=153394&highlight=bed

cali skin is when the tailgate and rollpan are one solid piece and then it is welded into the back of the truck, so there is no tailgate and no pan or lines its all 1 solid piece

the cali combo gate isnt as thick as a tailgate so you can access the lights (at least the ones ive seen)

when installing a cali combo you leave the original gate on!

you still got the bed?i have a good fleet on my 94 but same jackass backed into me at walmart on the pass side dented it a bit but looks like it can be popped out fairly i think if your gonna do all the work a little more wont hurt easy other than that its in good shape i was lookin for a new bed and i want a rool pan for mine and im gonna paint soon so it might work for both of us,does the tailgate still open? my bed has diamond plates around the bedsides and plastic bed liner if you interested im in houston and could make the drive but wed have to swap there...Steve id even give you a little more just becouse of the dent

i thought you took it off. otherwise wouldn't it be easier and cheaper to just build a piece that connects the tailgate to the roll pan. also, if you leave the gate in there, how would you change the lights?

can you get a pic of the dent? and where is it located on the beside? is it on the body lines, if so which one. id be interested but id need more cash depending on the dent.

on my friends 87 he left the gate on and welded this to it. im not sure if he pulled the skin off the old gate tho. i also realize thats a older turck, but same concept. i remeber boilermarker selling his tailgate but then keeping it cuz he needed to use it for the cali skin he had!

when i've seen cali comobs installed, they didn't put the stock gate on there. they had bars across to support the skin, and put a sheet on the back that screws in, that way you have access to the stock lights

Otto

after hearing these posts im guessing it can be done either way

that is how i did mine. also i took my tailgate off. i think if you left it on it would stick out a little too far with it

Otto

just the bed, unless you offer a good price for the truck
