Came across a pair of cheap recaro seats the other day...real nice shape. Im trying to decide which seats I should use in the project truck. I also have some obs Tahoe seats that I was considering. The tahoes are all power and more comfortable but lack the support that the recaros have. What do you guys think? Which ever one I go with...they will be re-done to match my interior.

Your truck is full custom, don't stop with the seats

To be honest, neither of those seats look like they suit your truck...
Some C5 buckets or even the knock off C5 buckets would do the trick...
I know I know...give yah a branch off my money tree haha....

I actually hate seats that have the headrests incorporated into the seat especially in a reg cab truck...so the c-5 seats are out. I also had my eye on some SSR seats but they too are all one piece...something just doesnt seem right to me. If I wasnt so concerned with cracking my head off the back glass in an accident i wouldnt run headrests at all.

Same here. Maybe because they're black you can't really see much of them. They'll probably look a lot better when they're recovered.

LOL nope...hehe. they make nice porch space taker-uppers  they might go into the truck for next year. recovered in black suede or somehting. i'm not sure if i like the headrest part of them tho. i also have acura seats that i may use without the headrests :dunno:

Tell me about it, I have Suburban buckets in my truck and when I pulled the headreasts to run some syn-leather seat covers they looked AWESOME with no headrests. I ran it like that for three days before I realized that even though they looked cool my head sticking through the back window would trump that cool factor pretty quick.

I don’t mean to take over the thread :jacked: but I figured it would be better to ask my question here rather than start another one....anyway I would love to go with recaro seats but I have been looking around and as good as they are if not the best they are just a tad bit to rich for my blood. So I was thinking of going back to my first original choice which was Corbeau TRS seats but then after reading around for a while on fullsize and what not I haven’t been hearing all that good of feedback about corbeau's seats and products in general. Now the whole reason I want bucket seats is I have a 91 Silverado and its a standard cab with bench seat with the arm rest well this is all nice and good besides the mirror fact that I’m 6'6 1/2 and about 205 pounds...I’m taking that you get where I’m coming from the bench is nice and what not but I need all the added room and support i can get and that’s why I want to do the switch. Any and all feedback and or personal stories would be greatly appreated (sp?) and if I were to go for the TRS's would i want the regular or the wide version I’ve been trying to find a dealer so I can go and sit in a few but I haven’t yet found one yet....thanks alot

Go walk around a salvage yard. Lots of OEM seats have awesome lateral supports like a good Recaro or Corbeau and would be a lot cheaper to pick up. Walk around and if you see something you like, park your butt in it and see how it feels. I have a friend who bought some Corbeaus for his truck, but he sold it a few months after buying them so he didn't get to know them that well.

the pair that I sold djlunchbox were from a suzuki swift, which were made by recaro and actually more comfortable than these black ones I just picked up.
