window regulater ?

Hello all i have a problem with my right hand window regulater it turns and move the window BUT i have now stripped 2 window cranks because it moves so hard has anyone else had this problem if so what can i do just replace it or can it be greased or lubed some how
the truck is a 1982 body 76 engine and 74 3/4 ton running gear and chassis
any and all help would be appreciated

Sounds like you need to lube the rails. Probably all rusted out

you may lubed it.. and if doesn't work you may replace your window regulator (http://www.autopartscorner.com/window_regulators/chevy.html).

Take the door trim off, and then roll the window down half way. You can then takethe window out of the door. Take a wire brush to the rail to get the rust off, then apply lots of grease to the rail. That helps a lot. I just did mine yesterday, because every summer it gets full of mud.
