Are they just supposed to pop off by pulling on them?

I'm ordering the billet replacement knobs and trued to pup the originals off and couldn't. I didn't want to pull so hard I broken them.

Is Billet basically aluminum?

Also, anyone know the best place to get a good deal on replacement billet ac knobs? Also I'm trying to find a matching headlight knob and can't seem to find one.

what i really want are the classic knobs that are the same shape as the OEM, just silver. all i've been able to find are the round ones though?

thanks!!!

PS: Thoughs on the billet fuel door? Anyone have one? I looked and can't seem to figure out how to get the old one off?

The word "billet" actually refers to a solid piece of metal before it is processed into whatever shape. When people say "billet shifter handle" it means the piece was cut from a solid piece rather than melted down into that form.

Billet also means a pattern of spaced bars or tubes, which is probably where the grilles get the name.

Usually it does refer to aluminum, but it doesn't necessarily have to.

Billet fuel doors look like crap on GM trucks. There are 2 torx bolts that hold the original on. Open the door and you can see them.
