Ok, here is the deal. I was reading the thread on the led light change-out in the guage cluster for the 99-02. Saw a picture and thought it was my model (05). I bought the twist things and the leds. I cant use them. My trucks stuff is different. Now that you have all the useless info here is my ??. Is there a way to change an 05's gauge lights to leds?

You want to sell the stuff you bought for the 99-02? What color bulbs did you get?

Probably too new, pull your cluster out and look at the back and see if that much looks the same.

Its pretty much the same except for the lights being alot smaller. There arent any twists at all. Its those really small lights. Hard to explain without pics. If I had a camera I would have taken some.

According to the schematics a lot of the lights are already leds, mostly the indicators.

Other than the lights being different the problem is that there does not seem to be a way to get to the lights.

Same here, except I didn't buy any thing first. There has to be a way to change the '05 bulbs. I started to pull one out but got skeerd :scared:

Did anyone read that thread? What a shmo! As if the whole country is going to do that mod to their truck and he will no longer be ''unique''. People like that guy make me sick. But he will sell it to you. What a turd.

Still...the leds do look great in there. To bad it sounds so tough and time consuming.

Would it be out of the question to just replace the entire cluster with an older one? The kind that have the leds with the twists, for easy install.
