I searched a little bit but didnt find anything to answer my question. I would like to make my 94 gauges blue. I think there is a green plastic peice that makes em green. My question is has anyone taken the green plastic out? Any comments or help appreciated.

Also I want to clear the needles. Would it be wise to do this before I put it in or should I wait until after so i can record the readings from the gauges? thanks in advance.

I changed my gauge cluster thing. It's hard to see on the pic, but it's white with red flames. It looks aight. I haven't seen any needles for sale, but i don't see why you just cant paint them.

in the 94 cluuster the green is in the face not plastic like the moonies. just swap for a white ones or something ...and for the needles just take sandpaper and remove the yellow stuff

ok cool so i can just change the bulbs with blue led's and change the faceplate. do i have to mark the position of the needles before i remove them? is it a necessity?

I wouldn't use sand paper or steel wool to clear your needles. Use nail polish remover and some cotton balls. Just poor some into a small bowl and let your needles sit in it for a minute or so, the paint will literally wipe away. That way you don't have to worry about the fine scratches. I painted my needles blue and bought an overlay for the rest of the guage. You should mark where your needles are at when your truck is at normal operating temp. When you go to re-install them get your truck back up to temp and place them.
