I am trying to convert the guages in my 90 Z-71 from the moon style to the 92 needle and tach style, I found the article in the tech section about doing it, and gathered up all the parts I need(cluster, pigtail, and DRAC). today I pulled my old cluster out and noticed on my factory plug that there is not a red/white wire that is supposed to go to the DRAC, so I looked in my brothers truck that is a 91 with the same moon style guages and his factory plug had the red/white wire, so does anyone know what the red/white wire is for? can I get around not having the red/white wire or will it be mandatory tomake all the guages function? any help would be greatly appreciated!
