Hey everyone,
I am looking at buying a project dually. Before I buy it I am making sure that what I want to do will work. My question is pretty simple...... I am looking at a modern dash in it instead of the stock old dash. What options do I have? Will a dash out of a tahoe or silverado 1500 work or do I have to look for a dash from a newer dually? I am probably looking for the style dash found in the 96 chevys. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanx,

Sean

Anything is possible, depending on much work you want to do, or the amount of money you want to spend.

I've never done the swap so i don't know what it takes, but it won't be a simple bolt in swap.

A guy did the dash swap as well as a custom X-Cab on an 87 Chevy. It was in Fourwheeler a couple of years ago. Truck was yellow with mud graphix and 40" (?) Dick Cepeck's.

yeah, that truck in four wheeler looked like it was a factory ex cab, and the newer interior looked like it came in it, that guy did a NICE job on that truck, from what I remember of the article he said it wasn't too bad of job to do the dash, then again I can't recall seeing another OOBS truck with the newer dash so maybe it would be a lil' tuff!
