yall guys that have a 05 gmc sierra that put a system in ur truck were did u find the ground at. my trucks all painted. and i cant find a place to put the ground wire to hook up my amp

I dont own a 2005 sierra but I would find any place that is attached to the bottom of your veichle.. Like where the seats are bolted down.. .scratch off the paint where it is not visible with a screwdriver and that should give you a good ground..

If thats no where to be found, just find a fairly hidden place close by and drill a hole and put a small bolt and nut with a star washer through it. Remember, the shorter the ground cable, the better.

Where the rear seat bolts to the floor of the truck is perfect for amps etc.

For the radio I grounded directly to the screw in back of the radio and bypassed the harness for less noise.
